I'm Caroline

hi there!!

If I had the time, I’d always stay for each color of the sunset, make more messes in the kitchen, and write more letters to friends who live states away… or just streets away. I find lots of joy in laughing with friends at my favorite little coffee shop in Birmingham, sitting at the bar with morning beams of sunshine shining in through the window. But I’m also learning that there’s joy to be found on a rainy Tuesday when I have galleries to finish and meetings to attend, not because they’re glamorous but because it’s the kind of joy that’s because of Christ.

My love for storytelling started as I pursued writing in college, graduating with a degree in journalism from Auburn. But when I found a camera in my hand, I saw that a photograph gives color, texture, and life into the little details that I’d been taught how to use words to describe. I don’t think that words and photographs are to be compared with one another,  I just wanted to dance with the light more.

I’m a photographer because I believe that stories are worth holding onto. Life and its little seasons seem to flow by so quickly, but a photograph is here to stay, to sing of a story for generations to come. I believe in genuine moments, belly laughs, grins that go from ear-to-ear, and that the most beautiful story is the one where yours is told authentically.

My prayer is that my photographs record stories that the great Author writes so intricately, so tenderly, so uniquely. You could say I’m an artist who’s in love with real people, real stories, and a real Creator -

I’ve just been given a camera to capture it all.
